Our mission is to provide our students an avenue to help others through massage therapy by way of education, training, and encouragement. Our graduates will have the knowledge necessary to practice in the setting of their choice with a high level of skill, integrity, and professionalism.

To be come a professional Massage Therapist/Practitioner you will need to complete a minimum of 250+ hours in order to apply for California's certification program. In addition, many businesses require deep tissue training/experience - we highly recommend our CMT/CDTP programs as the combined training and hours will fulfill the hours required for California state certification hours and provide you with the techniques and skills necessary for a successful career.

Save $100 on when you register for our Certified Massage Therapist and our Certified Deep Tissue Practitioner programs together as a 254 hour combo program! This program can be completed in only 12 weeks!

FREE Introduction Workshops
We are pleased to announce a series of free introduction workshops – these workshops will be presented by instructors scheduled for our upcoming workshops/classes. Please visit our School News page for details. We look forward to seeing new faces as well as current students and graduates. Please call us soon to register!

Please note that all classes must be registered for in advance (non-refundable registration fee is required to reserve a seat) and all workshop/specialty certificate programs must be paid for two weeks in advance. We do have payment plans available for our Certified Massage Therapist and Certified Deep Tissue Practitioner programs. Most of our classes require a minimum number of registered students in order to be held
- we try to allow a two week advance notice when having to cancel classes due to
insufficient enrollment. Our school is approved for VA Benefits. We are also an approved Sacramento Employment and Training Agency Local Training Provider (SETA http://www.seta.net/jobseeker_careercenter.html).

About Us

We are a massage therapy school located in Fair Oaks, California; a suburb of Sacramento, California. Fair Oaks Massage Institute is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education approved provider (#450509-07). We are also an American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) school member, and an Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) school member.

Our school offers training that focuses on holistic and therapeutic approaches to massage therapy with an emphasis on developing a compassionate healing touch that naturally reduces stress, promotes relaxation, relieves pain, and strengthens the immune system. As you learn massage therapy, you will develop a conscious awareness and method of delivering a caring touch that effects healing and balance in body, mind, and spirit.

The Fair Oaks Massage Institute offers a wide variety of massage certification programs and specialty certificate programs for those just starting out in the field as well as experienced massage therapists looking to advance their knowledge and services. We also pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of continuing education workshops and specialty programs for massage therapists and nurses. Many workshops and programs do not require prerequisites and are open to the public.
