Massage Therapist
500 Continuing Education Hour Program
Description
Prerequisite: None

Our 500 hour massage therapist program involves comprehensive training in Swedish massage, deep tissue, and other complimentary bodywork techniques.

The first course of study is our 130 hour massage program which uses demonstration and hands-on instructional labs – focusing on proper body mechanics.  It features a series of techniques that promote blood and oxygen circulation throughout the body, promoting relaxation and circulation. The program will guide you towards becoming a professional massage therapist.

The second 120 hour deep tissue medical massage program focuses on Deep Tissue massage; working deeper into the muscular system of the body. This course of study uses demonstration and hands-on instructional labs – focusing on proper body mechanics. Deep tissue techniques will help aid your clients with specific problems and special needs.

You will learn how to address clients with low back pain, joint and muscular issues from injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraine headaches and much more.
You will learn a more effective way to work “smarter, not harder” using proper body mechanics that pertain to the deeper bodywork techniques an
d how to provide your client with relief from long-term pain and possible release of long time holding patterns.
