Hanna Somatics

Prerequisite: None
12 Continuing Education hours

Hanna Somatics is a process of meeting and releasing unconscious neuromuscular holding patterns.  What we consider the inevitabilities of aging is actually the result of accumulated and unreleased stress patterns.  The movements are gentle, self-empowering, and fun.  We can truly move into the fullness of ourselves and our place in the world anytime.

You will learn and experience:

  • The art of dynamic relaxation
  • How to mimic the way animals stay in shape
  • How to maximize the potential of yoga and exercise
  • How to prevent accidents and recover effectively from physical trauma
  • How to transform "senior moments" into "somatic moments"
  • Simplicity of movement, and spaciousness of perception

  • This workshop is for massage therapists, massage recipients, moms, sons, daughters, and anyone who wants to learn how to be more comfortable and joyful with themselves.

*Bring a yoga mat or blanket, and a bag lunch.
