Learn the 7 Principles of Active Isolated Stretching, an exciting physiological
specific muscle lengthening technique to increase circulation and oxygen to
the superficial and deep fascia tissues. The seminar involves reading the body
through client assessment and provides specific protocols of how to safely
lengthen muscles and fascia using reciprocal inhibition while simultaneously
maintaining a physiologically
based agonist-antagonist relationship.

The seminar is 30% lecture 70% hands-on work. Detailed approaches to each
muscle surrounding a joint, various indications and contraindications related to
disease pathologies, injuries, osteoporosis and aging factors. Low back pain,
hips, sacroiliac dysfunction, piriformis syndrome, sciatica, hamstrings, gastrocs,
ankles, hammer toes, feet and various sports medicine considerations are
discussed and demonstrated during the seminar. Active Isolated Stretching and
some strengthening protocols are incorporated into the 2-day Seminar.

Prerequisite: Massage therapy certification.

Nathaniel H. Martelle is approved by the National Certification Board of
Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education
Approved Provider No. 451919-12.

Seminar costs include a training manual complete with photographs and
protocols along with a rope for learning self-care technique. The Seminar
provides students with 16 CE Hours of continued education.
