Fair Oaks Massage Institute offers a variety of massage therapy certification programs and continuing education programs to suit your individual needs. Our Certified Massage Therapist program is of our most common for new students just starting out in massage therapy; offering core development in Swedish massage, introduction to special modalities, and 130 hours of massage therapy training- the required amount to work as a massage therapist in Sacramento county.

Our Certified Deep Tissue Practitioner program offers advanced techniques, core development in deep tissue work, and completes the required amount of hours (250) to work in Sacramento City as well as the surrounding county area. Our Certified Holistic Massage Practitioner program can be taken instead of or in addition to the Certified Deep Tissue Practitioner program (both require the Certified Massage Therapist program as a prerequisite); it allows you to specialize in the modalities of your choice.

The Certified Holistic Massage Practitioner program is composed of workshops and/or specialty certificate programs of your choice to compose the 250 hour program. We offer year-round enrollment for our Certified Holistic Massage Practitioner program; you can start at anytime. Our Certified Holistic Health Practitioner program is popular amongst first time students looking for intensive training in massage therapy that provides you with the 720 hours of training required to take the national certification exam. The Certified Holistic Health Practitioner program is comprised of three modules of training: our basic massage therapy certification program- Certified Massage Therapist (Module I), and both of our advanced massage therapy certification programs- Certified Deep Tissue Practitioner (Module II) & Holistic Health (Module III). Though Module III is built the same as the Holistic Massage Practitioner program you will take more than 250 elective hours 720 hours of training in the modalities of your choice. We also offer continuing education programs offering CE hours for massage therapists to advance their knowledge, skills, and practice, as well as anyone interested in the topic or technique in our non-prerequisite specialty certificate programs. Our Acupressure and Hawaiian Healing Arts programs are non-prerequisite continuing education programs open to everyone and anyone interested in Eastern therapies or Hawaiian massage topics and techniques.
