These classes provide the massage practitioner with tools to support clients with the emotional side of bodywork. Lecture and role-play focus on: emotional releases: how to handle them safely for practitioner and client, psychological patterns: how to recognize them, awareness of mental health conditions and when massage is contra-indicated, how to stay in scope of practice and when to refer out. A Jungian concept related to touch is also explored.
